    1515 LAPLACE. "1515 Alsac-Leopard Model" Folding Knife by French Master Knife Maker, MANU LAPLACE. He has been manufacturing knives of timeless beauty and uncompromising functionality for five generations in his forge in Thiers, France, all made by hand. The origin of the name dates back to 1515 when the battle of Francis 1 of Marignan was won. STEPHANE ALSAC, the creator of the original art is a wildlife artist widely regarded for his lifelike representations of animals. This knife is one of a series of 4. On the right side of the knife is an extremely lifelike scene of Leopards in their habitat. On the left side is an extremely realistic gaze of an Leopard. Each composition fits perfectly with the contours of Manu's knife. The steel spacer has an leaf design and Manu's signature hand engraved in it. Blade is 19C27 Sandvik Stainless Steel with PVD surface finish. Handle is polished resin.   THE ARTIST'S DRAWING IS PRINTED AND INCLUDED IN THE RESIN.  Then the Handle is assembled and polished by Hand.   Liner Lock. 8" Open. 4-3/4" Closed.
