1515 La Place Folding Knife by French Master Knife Maker, Manu La Place. He has been manufacturing folding knives of timeless beauty and uncompromising functionality for five generations in his forge in Thiers, France. The origin of the name dates back to 1515 when the battle of Frances's King Francis I of Marignan was won.
Manu La Place artistically decorates the individual models by hand. The combination of the Wart Hog Tooth Handle, Black Cape Buffalo Horn Bolsters and Black PVD Blade is striking. The top of the knife is Cape Buffalo Horn and decorative hand carved Stainless Steel which extends down the end of the knife. This knife has a Stainless Steel Spacer with Cape Buffalos and Wart Hogs hand engraved in it, along with Manu La Place's hand engraved signature. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, and a soft leather pouch in a nice cardboard box.
The unusual shape of this knife, the hand carving and engraving, and the colors make this a most exquisite knife. Pictures cannot capture its beauty.
